New Girl Scout cookies arriving in stores soon, marking the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scouts movement, which had been founded by Juliette Gordon Low. The Savannah Smiles cookies have been created with a new lemony twist taste, celebrate the anniversary of the Girl Scouts with these bite-sized, lemon-wedge cookies dusted in powdered sugar and bursting with lemon flavor, It was clearly inspired by Juliette Gordon Low.


In 1917, the Girl Scouts introduced their first cookies as a way to support their troop activities, with the Mistletoe Troop in Muskogee, Oklahoma selling the first baked cookies in its high school coffee shop in December 1917.
